The Taiyuan bureau of science and technology on Sept 20 published incentive policies and financial grants that are designed to attract more high-tech enterprises to move to the city, boosting technical support for the high-quality development of Taiyuan, capital of North China's Shanxi province.
Enterprises and institutions having registered in Taiyuan, with an independent legal status, can apply for the incentives.
If a high-tech enterprise with annual revenue of up 5 million yuan ($702,954) moves all its operations to the city, it stands to get a one-time grant of 200,000 yuan. A business with annual sales of 5-10 million yuan qualifies to get a one-off grant of 600,000 yuan, while a company with revenue of more than 10 million yuan can claim a grant of 1 million yuan.
In addition, Taiyuan will increase its financial grants to leading high-tech enterprises and technology service institutions that have moved all their operations there.
