The Taiyuan-Xinzhou Integrated Economic Zone, an intercity development zone situated in North China's Shanxi province, will establish a data traffic industry chain in 2022, according to a development plan released by the Shanxi Department of Industry and Information Technology on March 7.

The zone plans to promote itself and become home to a group of leading big data enterprises. It is understood that it will attract industrial resources in information technology applications and form a complete IT applications innovation industrial ecosystem, relying on the technological advantages of projects and key enterprises in Taiyuan.

It is envisaged that a comprehensive big data industry base serving the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and all Shanxi will be constructed in Taiyuan. It will focus on developing advanced computing, data labeling and software services.
