Taiyuan, capital of North China's Shanxi province, will build itself into an influential industrial city with strong traditional industries, sophisticated emerging industries, and an excellent business environment, according to a circular recently released by the local government.
The city will cultivate strategic emerging industries by developing a core industrial cluster of information technology, core enterprises and characteristic industrial clusters, promoting high-end, intelligent, and green development of industries, especially the manufacturing sector.
It will organize cadres to carry out regular service activities for local enterprises, strengthen the tracking and scheduling of projects, and promote the introduction, construction and production of major projects, especially those related to land, capital, and environmental protection.
Manufacturing enterprises in Taiyuan will be encouraged to integrate into the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, the ecological protection and high-quality development of the Yellow River basin, and the high-quality development of Central China.
In addition, the city will experiment with inter-provincial cooperation and further cooperation on new energy vehicle manufacturing and new materials manufacturing with other provinces.
