Advantages
Location:
Located at the intersection of Taiyuan, Jinzhong and Lyuliang cities, Qingxu Economic Development Zone is the indispensable springboard for those in the Shanxi capital of Taiyuan city to access the provinces of West China.
Traffic:
With two national highways -- Nos 208 and 307, the Datong-Yuncheng Highway and the Taiyuan-Zhongwei Railway running through the zone, Qingxu Economic Development Zone is about 25 kilometers away from Taiyuan's downtown area. That makes it accessible to the convenient road-rail-air transportation system in Taiyuan city.
Resources:
Qingxu county, where Qingxu Economic Development Zone is located, is rich in coal resources. Its coal-bearing area covers 175 square kilometers, accounting for 28.8 percent of the county's total area and its coal reserves total about 900 million metric tons. The abundant and high-quality coal resources have laid a solid foundation for the development of leading industries in Qingxu Economic Development Zone.
Qingxu is also rich in water resources. There is one reservoir with water storage capacity of 7 million cubic meters in the Qingxu Economic Development Zone. With the completion of the water diversion project for the Fenhe River and the water supply station project, the daily water supply capacity of the reservoir has increased to 100,000 cu m, meeting the expanding water demand in the development zone.
Environment:
The development zone has comprehensive support facilities. These include a pipeline network, water supply, power supply, gas supply, heating supply, communications infrastructure, rainwater and sewage treatment equipment. Financial, commercial, recreational and sports service facilities are also continuously being improved to provide resident companies with a high-quality business environment.
