North China's Shanxi province's trade delegation is making smooth preparation progress for the 7th China International Import Expo (CIIE), which will be held concurrently with the Hongqiao International Economic Forum (HQF) in Shanghai from Nov 5 to 10.

To honor the CIIE invitation, Shanxi has formed a trade delegation comprising 21 member units. The delegation is divided into 14 trade subgroups, including the Shanxi Provincial Department of Commerce.

The subgroups will actively participate in exhibitions, procurement meetings, investment promotions, forum discussions, and research visits during the event.

Additionally, the province will host four provincial-level events, including a special promotion for the new generation of information technology and artificial intelligence industries, the 6th promotion event for attracting Taiwan companies from the Yangtze River Delta region, and 19 other supporting activities.

The Shanxi exhibition hall at CIIE covers 405 square meters and features 24 high-quality local brands and consumer goods companies. Products on display will include specialty products like Qinghua Fenjiu and Shanxi aged vinegar and region-specific handicrafts like Jinyun Tang iron kettles and Qiaoshi Fahua ceramics.

This year, the Shanxi exhibition will showcase the province's natural landscapes, cultural heritage, history, and technological innovations using innovative digital display techniques to create an immersive, interactive, and sales-focused platform.

The 7th CIIE will feature comprehensive national exhibitions, enterprise showcases, the HQF, professional supporting activities, and cultural exchanges. It will cover an exhibition area exceeding 420,000 sq m and have 152 participating countries, regions, and international organizations.

Among them, 77 countries and international organizations will participate in the expo. France, Malaysia, Nicaragua, Saudi Arabia, Tanzania, and Uzbekistan will participate as guest countries.
