Since the launch of the cultural and tourism promotion event hosted by Dong Yuhui, a famous Chinese internet celebrity, in North China's Shanxi province on June 12, a large number of Shanxi's specialty products, such as aged vinegar, Fenjiu liquor, and a variety of coarse cereals, have been exported abroad using a smart customs system pioneered by Taiyuan Custom.

This year marks a crucial year for Taiyuan Customs in its efforts to improve the quality and efficiency of the new system, which is expected to bring major benefits to a vast number of foreign trade enterprises in Shanxi.

Specifically, the launch and application of a local inspection and "cloud issuance" system has not only improved the inspection efficiency of enterprises, but also relieved the burden of frontline work at the grassroots level.

Taiyuan Customs also actively promoted the implementation of a so-called "internet + verification" model. Since the model was launched, the customs and enterprises have transmitted more than 1,000 copies of information through the internet, which has not only significantly reduced the number of tasks that must be completed by enterprises, but also shortened verification times.

In recent years, with the intelligent support of Taiyuan Customs, Shanxi's specialty products have shone brightly in international markets, with Shanxi aged vinegar exported to Chile and Mongolia for the first time, and traditional Shanxi specialties such as Lianggao made from coarse rice, and fish-shaped noodles finding their way onto the tables of Canadian consumers. More and more Shanxi foods are being embraced by global consumers.
