The Shanxi delegation to the second session of the 14th National People's Congress held a meeting on March 4 to convey and study the requirements regarding motions. 

The province's deputies to the National People's Congress also discussed and prepared suggestions to be put forward on behalf of the delegation. 

They plan to make suggestions in eight areas, including the construction of a new energy system, the ecological protection and high-quality development of the Yellow River basin, enhancing Shanxi's capacity of outward electricity transmission, the establishment of the China (Shanxi) Pilot Free Trade Zone, and the construction of modern coal chemical industry demonstration bases.
