Shanxi's NPC deputies to attend annual session in Beijing

National legislators from North China's Shanxi province arrived in Beijing on March 3 to act as the voice of the Shanxi people at the second session of the 14th National People's Congress (NPC), which will be held on March 5.
These deputies to the National People's Congress will fulfill their statutory duties, faithfully reflect the will of the people, and complete all session tasks to high standards. They aim to focus on major issues related to Shanxi's high-quality development and modernization, offering constructive suggestions and motions.
The upgrading of traditional industries, rural vitalization, the promotion of excellent traditional culture, higher education, healthcare for the elderly, technological innovation, and the development of the rule of law are all key issues of concern for the NPC deputies.
Deputy Xie Jun, president of Shanxi Medical University in Taiyuan city, expressed his hope for the cultivation of more talents in the integrated childcare and healthcare industry.
Deputy Hang Kan, director of the Yungang Research Institute in Datong city, stated that this year he will continue to offer suggestions and motions regarding cultural relic protection and the inheritance of cultural heritage. He mentioned, "Based on research, I will provide suggestions on how to involve private funds and social forces in cultural relic protection."
Another deputy, Hu Zhanjun, director of the Shengyuan Vegetable Professional Cooperative in Shangshalenghe village of Shuozhou city, is concerned with improving transportation channels for agricultural products. He stated, "Shanxi has many distinctive agricultural products. I am prepared to give suggestions for establishing 'green channels' to facilitate the nationwide and global distribution of more high-quality Shanxi products."
