National political advisers from North China's Shanxi province arrived in Beijing on March 3 to attend the second session of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), which opens on March 4.

Over the last year, these political advisers have actively fulfilled their duties to the country and the people by creating proposals that reflect public sentiments.

In preparation for this session, the CPPCC National Committee members from Shanxi conducted in-depth research on key topics, such as accelerating transformation and development, deepening energy revolution, comprehensive reform, improving living standards, and ecological civilization construction. They extensively collected public sentiments and carefully prepared proposals and speeches for the session.

The CPPCC National Committee member Li Junhu, chairman of the Shanxi Writers Association, expressed his hope for strong national support in funding and technology for the protection of cultural relics in Shanxi. This support would enhance Shanxi's capacity for cultural relic protection and promote the high-quality development of Shanxi's cultural and tourism industry.

Li Xinhua, vice-chairman of the CPPCC Taiyuan Municipal Committee, has been involved in the medical and health sector for a long time, with a special focus on the integration of medical care and support for elderly people with disabilities and dementia. He noted that as the national population ages, more attention needs to be focused on this special group.
