On Feb 19, 10 typical cases of high-quality deliberation and handling of deputy proposals were released. The Cultural Relics Protection Law amendment proposal, put forward by 30 deputies including Hang Kan from the Shanxi delegation, was listed as the first case.

Shanxi, renowned for its abundant cultural heritage, numerous cultural relics, and historical sites, has identified over 50,000 immovable cultural relics within its borders, ranking first in the country in total number. The typical challenges encountered in the practical protection and utilization of cultural relics in Shanxi have prompted Hang to provide suggestions for amending the law to ensure the protection and inheritance of cultural heritage.

The Yungang Grottoes, a UNESCO World Heritage site, has entered a new stage of protection. "The most challenging issues in the protection of the Yungang Grottoes urgently require technological assistance," stated Hang.

With technological innovation as the driving force, comprehensive prevention and protection systems have been significantly enhanced. In 2023, over 3 million visitors experienced the cultural charm and beauty of the Yungang Grottoes scenic area.
