With the May Day holiday around the corner, the Shanxi Department of Culture and Tourism recently launched travel routes centered around enjoying scenery during all four seasons of the year in North China's Shanxi province.
Focusing on natural and cultural landscapes, ancient villages and towns, scenic spots related to the history of the Communist Party of China, and leisure, Shanxi has compiled 60 travel routes for spring, summer, autumn and winter tourism.
The 11 cities across the province have also launched various routes offering flower appreciation, outings, recreation and leisure, rural life, and family study tours in response to tourists' travel needs.
In the future, Shanxi will launch 10 intangible cultural heritage-oriented travel routes, 10 rural tourism routes and 20 leisure and health tourism and vacation theme routes.
