North China's Shanxi province launched its first special tourist train to South China's Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area on April 21.
To better meet the travel needs of passengers traveling by train, China Railway Taiyuan Group Co has optimized its train operation plan and has launched a series of tourist trains that travel across the province and even the country.
The tourist train that departed from Taiyuan Railway Station heading towards the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area is carrying 666 passengers. With couchettes in all carriages and special personnel there to serve the passengers, this train route offers a comfortable environment that can also facilitate emergency rescue services.
"Accompanied by tour guides and medical staff members, we can view scenery, rest and entertain along the way," said a passenger surnamed Zhang.
This 12-day tour by train will take passengers to classic landmarks in the cities of Jinan, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Hong Kong, Macao, and Guilin, traveling from north to south.
In the future, China Railway Taiyuan Group Co will also operate a series of special domestic tourist trains to Northeast China's Heilongjiang province, and Southwest China's Guizhou and Yunnan provinces.
