Zhang Jifu, head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Shanxi Provincial Committee, attended the Yellow River Culture Forum, which opened on April 18 in Shandong province's Dongying, where the Yellow River flows into the Bohai Sea. 

At the opening ceremony, Zhang signed a cooperation agreement on behalf of North China's Shanxi province, along with eight other provinces and autonomous regions along the river, regarding international communication of Yellow River culture. 

Jointly hosted by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the China Public Relations Association, and the Shandong Provincial People's Government, the forum aimed to promote the culture of the Yellow River – China's mother river – and spread its story around the world. 

The attendees gave keynote speeches and academic seminars, discussing the core characteristics of Yellow River culture and its contemporary values. Additionally, the forum also set the development path for the protection and promotion of Yellow River culture.
