Shanxi's coal output in Q1 ranks first in China

The coal output of North China's Shanxi province increased 8.9 percent year-on-year to 335 million metric tons in the first quarter of 2023, ranking first in the country.
Shanxi has greatly improved production efficiency through the intelligent and digital transformation of coal mines.
The province has built 39 intelligent coal mines and 993 intelligent mining faces.
In addition, from January to March, Shanxi transmitted more than 38.01 billion kWh of electricity to regions outside the province, up 16.7 percent year-on-year. The consumption capacity of new energy has been further improved, with the utilization rate reaching 98.02 percent.
