Shanxi promotes digital culture, tourism to create better future

The 2023 Digital Culture and Tourism Brand Innovation Conference, with the theme of "Digital Culture and Tourism for a Better Life", was recently held in Taiyuan, capital of North China's Shanxi province.
Hosted by the Shanxi Department of Culture and Tourism and Taiyuan municipal government, the conference included the release of the virtual promoter of Shanxi culture and tourism, keynote speeches, the release of the Taihang Mountain joint tourism promotion plan, round-table dialogues, agreement signings, case sharing, discussions and exchanges.
Experts, scholars and entrepreneurs in the culture, tourism and digital sectors across the country conducted exchanges and discussions on topics such as consumption reform and brand marketing innovation related to digital culture and tourism, bringing diverse perspectives to the integration of digital technology and Shanxi's culture and tourism industries.

The culture and tourism departments of Beijing, Henan province, Hebei province and Shanxi province jointly released the joint promotion plan of Taihang Mountain tourism.
Shanxi joined hands with Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Chongqing, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, Ningxia Hui autonomous region, the provinces of Jiangsu, Shandong, Sichuan and Shaanxi, and domestic leading digital enterprises to launch a joint promotion initiative for digital culture and tourism brands.
The initiative calls on cultural and tourism departments across the country to create new mechanisms, build platforms, coordinate closely in digital resource sharing, marketing planning, and regional promotion, and jointly promote cross-provincial travel route interconnection and traveler transport.
During the conference, Shanxi's first virtual digital promoter "Qingniao", which is inspired from the collected relics of Shanxi Museum – a bird-shaped wine vessel called Jinhou Niao Zun. The virtual character will promote and display the province's rich culture, history and landscapes.
