North China's Shanxi province held a tourism promotion event in Hangzhou, capital of East China's Zhejiang province, on March 11.

Based on features of tourist market in the Yangtze River Delta region, Shanxi promoted travel routes targeted at young people and families at the event. 

Special folk cultural and wheaten-food-making performances were staged during the event. 

To facilitate visits between Shanxi and Zhejiang, from April 27 to Oct 28 this year, the Shanxi Baohua International Travel Agency will launch the Hangzhou-Xinzhou-Xining regular tour charter flight, which will operate three times every week. The charter flight is expected to bring an additional 30,000 tourists to the two regions.
