The 2022 Chinese Enterprise Carbon Neutral Contribution (CCC) Research Report and Top 50 Chinese Enterprises in CCC List were released at the Carbon Neutrality and Coal High-Quality Development Forum in Taiyuan, capital of North China's Shanxi province, on Sept 2.
The report was jointly published by several academic authorities and industrial insiders, such as China Energy News, Tsinghua University, the China Institute of Energy Economics Research, and State Grid Energy Research Institute Co, and is of great value to the low-carbon, green and sustainable development of the energy industry.
According to the report, energy enterprises based in Shanxi have made strong progress in coal greening, circular economy, intelligent layout and energy security.
The top 50 list is a selection of the top 500 Chinese energy enterprises in 2021 and a carbon neutrality contribution modeling and analysis on targeted data.
It evaluated the carbon neutrality contributions of enterprises based on seven indicators including carbon emission performance, carbon neutral competitiveness, and carbon reduction efforts.
Jinneng Holding Group was the only company in Shanxi included on the list, ranking 31st.
Its 24 power plants have been included in the national carbon emissions trading market. In addition, the group has established a carbon asset subsidiary that provides power and energy enterprises with carbon emissions data reporting, carbon market compliance and carbon trading services.
