North China's Shanxi province will implement its "Shanxi Foreign Investment Promotion Regulations" on Jan 1, 2022, according to a statement issued by the Standing Committee of the Shanxi Provincial People's Congress on Nov 26.

The initiative comprises 34 articles divided into six chapters. 

These include measures on foreign investment in industries, financing, services, planning and protection, measures on government services for foreign investment and the protection of the legitimate rights and interests of foreign investors, so as to better meet foreign investors' demand for investment services and protection of their rights. 

Their issuance will provide legal support for the province, to further optimize its business environment and create an inland hub for the opening-up process to international markets.
