North China's Shanxi province recently approved the establishment of Shanxi Jinzhong Institute of Technology, Jinzhong College of Information, Shanxi Vocational University of Engineering and Technology and Shanxi Polytechnic Institute. 

Shanxi Jinzhong Institute of Technology and Jinzhong College of Information are both private undergraduate-level general colleges and universities. Shanxi Vocational University of Engineering and Technology and the Shanxi Polytechnic Institute are public undergraduate-level colleges. 

The newly established Shanxi Jinzhong Institute of Technology is organized by Shanxi Daren International Education Co and is managed by Shanxi Provincial Education Department. Meanwhile, Jinzhong College of Information is sponsored by Shanxi Taigu Investment Co and is managed by the Shanxi Provincial Education Department. 

Shanxi Vocational University of Engineering and Technology was formed by the Business College of Shanxi University, Shanxi Traffic Vocational and Technical College, Shanxi College of Architecture and Shanxi Business Occupational Middle School. Sponsored by Shanxi Provincial Government and managed by Shanxi Provincial Education Department, the university mainly cultivates high-level polytechnic talents with professionalism, innovative spirit and craftsmanship skills. The enrollment number for full-time undergraduate students is temporarily set at 20,000. 

Shanxi Polytechnic Institute has the same sponsor and manager. It mainly cultivates high-quality applied and technical talents with innovative spirit and practical abilities to meet the needs of socioeconomic development. The number of full-time undergraduate students is temporarily set at 12,000 and the enrollment process will begin in the fall of 2021.
