Tianjiao Science and Technology Park, based in North China's Shanxi province, was recently rated as a national technology business incubator of the year for 2020 by the Ministry of Science and Technology.

Founded in 2017 and operated by Shanxi Manyuan Innovation Incubation Management Consulting Co, Tianjiao Science and Technology Park is located in Shanxi Transformation and Comprehensive Reform Demonstration Zone.

In 2020, the park generated 486 million yuan ($75.16 million) in revenue, provided more than 2,000 jobs, held more than 20 professional training activities and offered more than 1,000 vocational skills training opportunities. So far, 73 companies have settled in the park.

In recent years, Shanxi has attached great importance to innovation and entrepreneurship, continuously optimizing the environment for innovation and entrepreneurship and promoting the construction of innovation and entrepreneurship incubators.

The number of national-level technology business incubators in Shanxi has increased to 16.

The province will next rely on national-level incubators as incubation carriers for innovation and entrepreneurship to further optimize the environment for innovation and entrepreneurship, reduce the cost of innovation and entrepreneurship, and boost self-employment through entrepreneurship.

It will also strengthen the leading role of scientific and technological innovation, improve the service capabilities of supporting platforms, and gradually form an innovative and entrepreneurial pattern featuring industry-university-research collaboration and the integrated development of large and medium-sized enterprises.
