North China's Shanxi province recently issued a budget of 3.89 billion yuan ($593.21 million) to be allocated to special poverty alleviation funds in 2021, according to the Shanxi Provincial Department of Finance on Dec 9.

The budget from the central government fund is 2.68 billion yuan and the provincial-level budget is 1.21 billion yuan, respectively. 

The funds for 2021 will be allocated in accordance with management methods established for State and provincial-level fiscal special funds for poverty alleviation and the policy for agricultural funds in poor counties.

These will mainly be used to support the consolidation of achievements made in poverty alleviation and promoting the revitalization of rural industries.
