Shanxi's lawmakers submit 16 motions

The delegation from North China's Shanxi province to the National People's Congress submitted 16 motions and made 280 suggestions during the third session of the 13th National People's Congress being held in Beijing on May 22-28, setting a record for the number of motions and suggestions.
The motions submitted this year focused on formulating or amending relevant laws themed around wildlife protection, family education, food safety, cultural relics protection and business bankruptcies.
The suggestions reflected the vital interests of Shanxis people, officials said.
They involved high-quality economic transformation and development, novel coronavirus epidemic prevention and control, public safety, poverty alleviation, pollution treatment, high-speed railway construction, employment and senior care, agriculture and rural affairs, education and other fields.
