The two-day China Cultural and Tourism Enterprises Cooperation and Development Conference kicked off on Nov 7 in the city of Zibo – located in East China's Shandong province – with the aim of expanding the combined development of domestic and international cultural and tourism business.
Themed on "Collaborating for a Shared Future with 'Hospitality Shandong", the event is focusing on spurring investment and construction of cultural and tourism projects – as well as the transformation and upgrade of tourist accommodation and scenic resorts.
According to Wang Chunsheng, a senior inspector at Shandong's culture and tourism department, after the opening ceremony, the conference features a main forum, as well as parallel forums and events –
such as the Tourism Accommodation Project Matchmaking Conference and the Resort Area Iterative Upgrade Development Forum.
These segments aim to boost high-quality development in the scenic resort areas and the domestic tourism accommodation industry.
Discussions will delve into the development opportunities of the tourism and performance arts sector in Shandong, providing support for their development there.
Zibo's Culture and Tourism Bureau Director, Song Aixiang, emphasized the city's accomplishments in the cultural and tourism field – highlighting the successful promotion of the Zibo barbecue, an outdoors BBQ whose popularity really took off this year, drawing in visitors from far and wide.
It's raised the city's cultural and tourism profile and is said to have positively contributed to Shandong province's cultural and tourism resource development.
