That's according to the government work report released during the third session of the 16th People's Congress of Zibo on Dec 28.
The city has targeted GDP growth in 2023 of around 5.5 percent. The revenue in the general public budget is expected to increase by at least 5 percent, fixed asset investment by at least 8 percent, total retail sales of consumer goods by at least 5 percent and per capita disposable income by at least 5.5 percent.
In addition, Zibo plans to complete the targets for energy conservation and emissions reductions set by the province.
According to the work report, Zibo intends to step up efforts to develop sci-tech innovation by boosting the establishment of more innovative platforms – the number of which at the provincial level is predicted to reach 500 – and cultivating and introducing high-end talent.
The city will increase its support of employment, creating 55,000 jobs in 2023. In total, plans are for 33 kindergartens, primary and middle schools to be renovated and expanded.
