The third assembly of the Zibo International Exchange Platform was held on Sept 23 with over 20 Chinese and foreign representatives from foreign-related companies in Zibo touring and inspecting various projects in areas administered by the city.
They did this to get an insight into rural revitalization work that is taking place in the region under the jurisdiction of the prefecture-level city, which is located in East China's Shandong province.
The exchange platform, sponsored by the Zibo municipal foreign affairs office, had as its theme "Feeling and Understanding New Countryside".
The participants visited places around Fushan village, in Zibo's Zhangdian district including kindergartens and primary schools and the Fushan Geological Museum.

These visits reportedly helped them gain a deeper understanding of the rural revitalization and construction in the region through the environment, public facilities and inclusive personnel and workforce recruitment and training programs.
After the visit, the participants held a discussion on what they had seen. They put forward views and suggestions on the internationalization of Zibo's cultural and tourism resources, the improvement of the business environment and advances on the human resources front. They also discussed recruitment and training, the modernization of agriculture and how they could play a role in the rural revitalization and development process.
It's understood that the Zibo International Exchange Platform aims to harness and leverage the resources of foreign-related businesses and operations in the city. It will do this by attracting foreign talent to contribute to Zibo's development as a leading metropolis and help it open up to the outside world in an all-round way.
