A special promotions event - called Explore "Red Marks" in Foreign Affairs from Revolutionary Times - ended on Sept 10 in Zibo city in East China's Shandong province, the climax of a four-month and 16-city swing through the province looking at Revolutionary spots.
The tour through Shandong reportedly elicited overwhelmingly positive responses, with over 180 million clicks on social network platforms, covering about 120 million users in Shandong and nationwide.
That's according to Li Yongsen, deputy director of Provincial Foreign Affairs Office, who was talking at the closing ceremony.
The event attracted the participation of foreigners working or studying in the province and representatives from international friendly organizations, who shared their stories and feelings about the Communist Party of China.
It was aimed at presenting Shandong’s achievements in a fresh light - including aspects of international cooperation in the Belt and Road Initiative, active measures in poverty elimination, rural vitalization and the province's high-quality development on all fronts.
The tour, which kicked off in early May and traveled to Shandong's 16 cities, explored touching stories unearthed about the foreign affairs work of the province.
It was sponsored by the Shandong Provincial Foreign Affairs Office, the Shandong Provincial Publicity Bureau and the Shandong Provincial Office of the Cyberspace Affairs Commission.
