The Qingdao Development Group 2025 Qingdao West Coast Half Marathon commenced on April 6.
The event drew 15,000 runners from across the nation to Qingdao West Coast New Area (Qingdao WCNA). Participants navigated a unique racecourse, passing by landmarks like the Beer City and Tangdao Bay Coastal Park and soaking in the scenic beauty of spring.
Since its debut in 2016, the event has been held eight times, earning national recognition and continuous upgrades thanks to its professional organization, immersive racecourse experience, and unique blend of sports and culture. It has become a symbol of Qingdao WCNA's vibrant city life and growing appeal as a sports destination.
The event also featured an exhibition area showcasing local agricultural specialties such as blueberries, oranges, and cherries.
