The 2024 Artificial Intelligence (AI) Innovation Application Conference for Film and Television took place at the Qingdao Oriental Movie Metropolis in Qingdao West Coast New Area – in East China's Qingdao city – on Sept 21-22.

The event brought together over 200 experts from film, television, animation and AI.
They discussed the current state and future prospects of AI in animation creation, film and television applications, talent development and copyright awareness.
During the event, the Dison VICON-Oriental Movie Metropolis Motion Capture Creation Center – a collaborative initiative between Oriental Movie Metropolis and Beijing Dison Technology – was launched.
The partnership aims to boost the motion capture system's equipment and technology within the Metropolis's film and television virtualization platform and to drive joint innovation in research and development.

Furthermore, the Intelligent Imaging Creation Space and the Creation Laboratory of the China Film Editing Society were established at Qingdao Oriental Movie Metropolis and Qingdao Film Institute.
The China Film Editing Society will collaborate with these institutions to establish a joint teaching and training base, advance the research and application of intelligent imaging technology and develop industry technical standards and ethical norms.
