The culture and tourism bureau of Qingdao West Coast New Area formed a tourism alliance with eight additional cities or districts on Aug 7, including Lixia district of Jinan, Hekou district of Dongying, Laiyang city of Yantai, Qingzhou city and Zhucheng city of Weifang, Huancui district of Weihai, Donggang district of Rizhao, and Yinan county of Linyi.
The alliance is set to enhance resource sharing, joint marketing, and the creation of culture and tourism brands, reflecting the interconnected landscapes and cultural heritages of the participating cities.
The establishment ceremony was broadcast live on online platforms, attracting a total of 2.2 million viewers via photo live streaming. Additionally, the event included a signing ceremony with member units of the tourism alliance and key tourism enterprises.

At the event, Qingdao West Coast New Area showcased six culture and tourism routes, which included a total of 55 tourism offerings. An exhibition area featured the Qingdao West Coast New Area booth, which presented travel guides and creative items from local attractions like Mingyue Seaweed World, Golden Beach Beer City, and Qingdao Forest Wildlife World.
