Record-breaking brew at Qingdao's beer extravaganza

The 34th Qingdao International Beer Festival, held in Qingdao West Coast New Area, has unveiled the world's strongest beer, a 67.5 percent alcohol by volume beverage named "Snake Venom", at the Beer Culture Museum's exhibition area.

The Beer Culture Museum's first exhibition hall takes visitors on an educational journey through 8,000 years of beer history, highlighting the evolution of brewing techniques and the industrialization process across various historical periods.

The second exhibition hall delves into the four main ingredients of beer and the pivotal processes of malt production, brewing, and bottling. It also showcases a global collection of beers, with the "Snake Venom" standing out for its record-breaking alcohol content.

Visitors to the third exhibition hall are able to taste various craft beers, allowing them to explore the diverse flavors and textures of beer as they learn about its history and brewing techniques.

The fourth exhibition hall is dedicated to the Qingdao International Beer Festival's own development, displaying over 400 historical materials and collections from past festivals. This comprehensive display traces the festival's evolution and growth over the course of 33 years, offering visitors insights into Qingdao's rich beer culture and the unique charm of its festivities.
