Qingdao immerses intl students in traditional Chinese medicine

In a unique educational collaboration, the traditional Chinese medical hospital of Qingdao West Coast New Area joined forces with Shandong University of Science and Technology to offer a cultural immersion experience for nine international students from the United States.

The event took place at the hospital's international student traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) experience base and was designed to provide a hands-on understanding of the special services of TCM.

The activity commenced with a TCM pharmacist showcasing the intricate art of TCM ingredient compatibility. This was followed by a practice session where students tried their hands at fundamental TCM practices, including the selection and weighing of medicinal herbs. The students were also introduced to key TCM therapeutic practices such as acupuncture and cupping therapies, providing them with a comprehensive understanding of these traditional healing methods.
