The Qingdao International Water Conference & Expo commenced on July 3 in Qingdao West Coast New Area, with a theme highlighting the vital role of water: "Water - the Source of Life, the Foundation of Development."

The conference, continuing through July 5, is committed to advancing specialized academic discourse on pivotal water-related issues. With over 200 Chinese and international experts in attendance, it features presentations of recent research findings and demonstrations of state-of-the-art technologies in water science and management.
Key focus areas include seawater desalination, comprehensive utilization of brine, industrial water conservation, wastewater resource utilization, membrane science, technological innovation, urban water affairs technology development, smart water management, water ecology protection, water environment management, water-saving industry development, and academic-industry-research cooperation.
The conference has drawn a diverse and esteemed group of professionals from around the globe, including experts from Denmark, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Hungary, Greece, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, and Zambia.
