Leveraging carbon fiber composites, celebrated for their superior strength-to-weight ratio, the train achieves an impressive 11 percent weight reduction over conventional metal trains. This "king" of new materials fortifies the train against impact and wear, thus prolonging its operational lifespan without compromising on durability.

The lighter design not only diminishes the wear on wheels and rails but also cuts down energy usage by 7 percent. This reduction in energy translates to an annual decrease of 130 metric tons in carbon emissions, an environmental gain comparable to the afforestation of 6.7 hectares of land. This initiative underscores China's dedication to advancing green technologies and sustainable urban development.
