The Qingdao Seed Industry Expo, which took place on June 13, in Qingdao West Coast New Area, united top professionals from over 300 seed companies nationwide.
Featuring over 3,200 premium crop varieties from around the world, the expo serves as a key platform for showcasing the latest technological advancements in the seed industry.

This year's expo covered an impressive 70,000 square meters and showcased a variety of industries such as marine, livestock, and poultry seeds, as well as breeding machinery. A standout feature was the unveiling of a 33.33-hectare new crop variety display base emphasizing innovation.
A company in Qingdao West Coast New Area stole the spotlight by introducing the innovative sea cucumber variety "Senyou 1". This new variety is known for its fast growth, strong disease resistance, and ability to thrive in high temperatures. It currently holds a leading 38 percent market share in China's domestic premium seed market.
The expo's opening ceremony witnessed the inauguration of Qingdao International Seed Innovation Park, Qingdao International Seed Industry "Four-Chain" Integrated Laboratory, and the Qingdao Seed Industry Talent Alliance, and saw a total of 5.46 billion yuan ($752.55 million) invested in eight projects.
