Golden Beach Beer City enhances sports, tourism offerings

Golden Beach Beer City in Qingdao has been continuously expanding its sports and tourism functions in recent years. The venue, known for hosting the annual Qingdao International Beer Festival, has now diversified its offerings beyond the festival period.

The city has added three standardized outdoor seaside basketball courts, a 3,000 square meter children's outdoor sports area, cycling and jogging paths along the coastline, as well as popular activities such as camping and surfing. These developments have transformed the beer city into a hub for sports, exercise, and leisure activities.

Following the conclusion of the beer festival each year, the venue repurposes beer tents and squares for year-round use. Five beer tents have been converted into indoor sports facilities for sports including football, basketball, tennis, badminton, and roller skating. The football tent, spanning 3,000 square meters, stands out as Qingdao's only indoor football venue, featuring two seven-a-side fields with safety measures in place.

Golden Beach Beer City not only offers sports facilities but also hosts a variety of cultural and sports events. Since 2020, the city has been holding its flagship event, the Qingdao Fashion Sports Festival. This unique initiative has generated substantial online and in-person interest, drawing over 10 million viewers from around the world.
