Qingdao West Coast New Area (Qingdao WCNA) in East China's Shandong province signed a cooperative agreement with Sunac China Holdings and Hicon Network Technology (Shandong) on April 18.

According to the agreement, the three parties will work together to establish a micro-short film and television base in Qingdao WCNA, which will help the area form a complete industrial chain ecosystem for micro-short film and television, further enhancing the "film and television +" industry chain.

The micro-short film and television base covers a total area of 32 square kilometers and features over 100 sets, capable of accommodating more than 10 production crews simultaneously.

Leveraging Qingdao's mature film and television industry, the base integrates high-quality domestic production services, providing scene and crew support, as well as review and promotion services.

The goal is to create a well-equipped micro-short film shooting base with a complete industrial chain, explore new paths for the refined development of micro-short films, empower the high-quality development of the micro-short film industry and accelerate the cultivation and release of new quality productive forces.

In recent years, Qingdao WCNA has been continuously enhancing its reputation as China's capital of film. It attaches great importance to the development of the film and television cultural industry, aiming to become a first-class industrialized film and television base in China.

To date, the core area of the Qingdao film and television base has attracted over 1,000 film and television enterprises, hosted more than 300 production crews, and registered 365 projects. The total box office revenue of movies shot at the base has exceeded 31.1 billion yuan ($4.29 billion), giving rise to a number of high-quality film and television works such as The Wandering Earth, The Creation of the Gods, and YOLO
