World Environment Day celebrations unfold in Qingdao WCNA

On June 5, the 52nd World Environment Day was commemorated with an array of activities in Qingdao West Coast New Area (Qingdao WCNA). This year's theme, "Fostering a Modern Harmonious Coexistence between Humans and Nature", encompassed environmental advocacy, cultural presentations, ecological exhibitions, art, policy promotion, and business consultancy.

During the ceremony, awards and certificates were granted to 11 environmental education centers, five eco-friendly facilities, five facility interpreters, and seven representatives from the Qilu Environmental Protectors.

Qingdao WCNA, acknowledged as a national ecological civilization construction demonstration zone, has achieved notable progress in advocating green and sustainable development, securing top honors in the Beautiful Bays of China rankings.

The event underscored Qingdao's enduring commitment to environmental education and sustainable urbanization, showcasing the city's dedication to striking a harmonious balance between human development and nature, exemplifying China's ongoing strides towards achieving this goal.
