The 2023 Qingdao Haiqing Tea Town Cycling Tourism Event was held in conjunction with the fourth annual International Tea Day on May 20. The event took place in the beautiful Haiqing Town, a scenic region within Qingdao West Coast New Area (Qingdao WCNA) in Shandong province.
Under the theme "Witness the Beauty of Our Tea Town in Haiqing" was jointly hosted by the education and sports bureau of Qingdao WCNA, the culture and tourism bureau of Qingdao WCNA, and the People's Government of Haiqing Town.
Attracting over 200 cycling enthusiasts from different parts of the province participated in the event. Cyclists rode through the Haiqing Tea Mountain Countryside Complex, a beautiful location with breathtaking landscapes.
The route covered 26 kilometers and meandered along the charming Rainbow Highway, which is enclosed by expansive tea gardens and peaceful rural vistas. Cyclists had an immersive experience of the captivating beauty of Haiqing Town.
As a token of appreciation, event organizers gave Haiqing tea souvenirs to the participants upon completing their journey. This allowed attendees to savor not only the stunning visual appeal of Haiqing's tea gardens but also the exquisite flavor of its unique tea.
