Themed on the culture of the Yellow River, an art exhibition opened in Qingdao West Coast New Area (Qingdao WCNA) on Feb 26 and will close on March 13.
The exhibition was held by Qingdao Huanghai University and sponsored by the China National Arts Fund (CNAF). By showcasing more than 150 paintings, the exhibition displays the culture of the Yellow River and hopes to make contributions to the conservation of the river's ecology and the development of the cultural tourism industry along the river.

The exhibition is on the 4th floor of Xinhua Bookstore in Qingdao WCNA and is expected to be held in more cities along the Yellow River, including Shaoshan in Hunan province and Yanan in Shanxi province, and will end in Dongying in Shandong province, where the river flows into the sea.
