The Yehudi Menuhin School Qingdao (YMSQ), an international music school, staged a fascinating concert for the public on campus with performances by the school president, teachers and students on Nov 21.
The concert began with R. Strauss: Horn Concerto No.1, Op. 11, 1st Movement, which was performed by students to express their gratitude for teachers. The event reached its climax with performances by Lyu Siqing, president of YMSQ and world-renowned violinist.
Located in the scenic Tangdao Bay Coastal Park in Qingdao West Coast New Area, YMSQ is a K-12 full-time international music school.
Yehudi Menuhin, one of the greatest violinists of the 20th century, founded The Yehudi Menuhin School in England in 1963, which is one of the world's most renowned and influential schools for talented young musicians and is known as "the cradle of talented musicians".
YMSQ is the sole authorized branch of The Yehudi Menuhin School, which integrates educational models and adopts the essence of Chinese and Western cultures.
It prepares students for admission to the best music conservatories and colleges in the world by offering specialist instruction in strings, piano, wind instruments, as well as vocals.
