As Qixi Festival, also known as Chinese Valentine's Day, fell on Aug 19 this year, people are celebrating love in different ways. While younger generations are reshaping traditional ideas about romance, many older couples offer their own examples of lasting love and companionship.
To honor this timeless commitment, a community in Lanshan district, Linyi city, Shandong province, organized a special "Love in Qixi" themed event for elderly couples. The heartwarming gathering featured interactive celebrations where participants printed shared handprints, danced ballroom dances, and presented each other with roses. Through these affectionate gestures, the silver-haired couples showcased their vibrant romantic lives and deep mutual warmth.
