Linyi Confucius Temple held a cultural event for young people on July 4-5 to help them learn about local history and traditional Chinese culture. The event, themed around Langya culture, featured a series of classroom and interactive activities.
During the event, students learned about the history of their hometown through stories about Confucius and Liu Hong, the Eastern Han (25-220) mathematician. They also took part in quizzes, sharing their thoughts and knowledge about local culture. The activities helped students gain a deeper understanding of the historical traditions of the Yimeng region.
Participants also joined hands-on activities, including making sundials and creating artwork inspired by seasonal poems. Through these activities, they learned more about traditional culture while developing practical skills.
The program is part of Linyi Confucius Temple's efforts to introduce local history and culture to young students. It gives them a chance to learn through activities and practice. The temple will continue to use local cultural resources and organize more educational programs in the future.
