Linyi, a major commercial and manufacturing city in East China's Shandong province, is seeking closer industrial, technological and talent links with the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region as it works to upgrade its economy.
At a cooperation event in Beijing on May 19, the city promoted investment opportunities, technology projects and talent policies to about 300 participants from government, enterprises, universities, research institutions and industry associations.
During the event, Linyi released the first list of 42 major science and technology innovation projects under its open competition mechanism. Industrial and platform cooperation projects were also signed across the city's counties, districts and development zones.
