Geography
Rencheng district is the political, economic and cultural center of Jining, Shandong province. It is located in the plain areas in southwest Shandong province and at the northern end of Weishan, Zhaoyang, Dushan and Nanyang lakes.

Transportation
Rencheng district is adjacent to Jining Qufu Airport, Qufu Railway and Lunan (Rizhao-Lankao) High-speed Railway, which started operations in December 2021. National roads 105 and 327, Rilan (Rizhao-Lankao) and Jixu (Jinan-Xuzhou) expressways, as well as Jihe (Jinan-Heze) Railway and the Jinghang (Beijing-Hangzhou) Grand Canal go through the district. It is an important hub connecting East China and North China, and the intersection of national economic strategy projects such as South-North Water Diversion, North-South Coal Transportation, and West-East Coal Transportation.

Administrative divisions
The district consists of two towns – Changgou and Yutun – 13 subdistricts – Nianlipu, Liying, Nanzhang, Jincheng, Xianying, Guhuai, Fuqiao, Guanyinge, Jiyang, Yuehe, Nanyuan, Anju and Tangkou – and Yunhe Economic Development Zone.
