The 10th Nishan Forum on World Civilizations is set to take place in Qufu, Shandong province from July 10 to 11. Recently, Douglas Dueno from the United States, driven by a deep interest in Confucianism, embarked on a unique challenge in Qufu to become a guide at the Confucius Museum for a day.
Despite lacking any formal training, Douglas' passion and extensive study of Confucian culture allowed him to navigate through the life of Confucius and the museum's exhibits with ease, earning praise from his tutor.
Deeply impressed by the painting The Pedagogy of Confucius, Douglas reminisced about how nervous he used to feel as a student when called on by his teachers, a moment that sparked laughter.
However, it wasn't all smooth sailing for Douglas, as he also faced a challenge with the question: What exactly was the role of Da Sikou in ancient times? Click on the video to join this fascinating cultural journey and uncover the mysteries encountered by Douglas.
