Celebrating Spring Festival, immersing in Miao ethnic culture

Gongs and drums echoed through the air, accompanied by dragon and lion dances and local opera performances. These folk activities created a vibrant and festive atmosphere in this renowned small town.
From Feb 10 to 17, Niulou Small Town will host its Spring Festival rural tourism activities. The events aim to showcase the folk culture of the Spring Festival along with Miao ethnic culture.
Spectacular Zigong lanterns will be featured, with special lantern formations depicting a dragon, fish leaping over the dragon gate, dragon and lion dances, and God of Wealth blessings, among others.

Niulou Small Town will also invite local Miao ethnic performing arts groups to hold Miao costume parades, intangible cultural heritage dance shows, bonfire carnival shows, food and entertainment carnivals, and colorful light shows.
The small town aims to create the first Miao cultural performance in Shandong province, allowing visitors to experience Miao culture right on their doorstep.
