The 2025 Yellow River Estuary (Dongying) Marathon took place on Oct 19, drawing nearly 35,000 runners to the vibrant city.

The course was meticulously designed to integrate professional athletic standards with natural scenery. With its gentle terrain and broad, well-paved roads, it offered optimal conditions for participants across all categories to perform at their best.
Connecting a network of urban parks, the route also highlighted Dongying's distinctive urban landscape, where wetlands and city spaces coexist harmoniously.
As a World Athletics Gold Label and Chinese Athletics Association A1 event, the Yellow River Estuary (Dongying) Marathon ranks fifth nationally and 28th globally in World Athletics' 2024 marathon standings. Now in its 16th year, its influence continues to grow.
