Mohammed Rezwan, founding executive director of Shidhulai Swanirvar Sangstha in Bangladesh, said that the "solar-powered floating schools" program reflects the ideals of harmony and accessible education advocated by Confucius. He expressed the great honor his team felt receiving the 2025 UNESCO Confucius Prize for Literacy.

The prize was presented in conjunction with the opening ceremony of the 2025 China International Confucius Cultural Festival on Sept 27 in Qufu, East China's Shandong province.
