In his keynote address at the opening ceremony of the 11th Nishan Forum on World Civilizations on July 9, Riccardo Pozzo, professor of History of Philosophy at Tor Vergata University of Rome, underscored the enduring relevance of Confucian wisdom in bridging tradition and modernity and in tackling today's challenges.

By citing Confucius' renowned saying, "Reviewing the old and learning the new makes one worthy of being a teacher", he emphasized the vital role of cultural innovation.
