Print PrintTwo new satellites, Laiwu-Yaosheng No 1 and No 2, were launched from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center, marking a significant step forward for Jinan in utilizing satellite remote sensing technology.
The satellites, equipped with high-resolution optical cameras offering sub-meter resolution, will provide critical remote sensing data for Laiwu district in sectors such as natural resources, agriculture, disaster management, water conservancy, and urban planning.
The launch also serves as a key milestone in promoting the growth of the aerospace and information technology industries in the region.
Satellite-based technology has already been implemented in Laiwu in areas such as the monitoring of agriculture, forest fire prevention, and environmental protection.
Remote sensing technology has been used to monitor crops such as ginger, providing intelligent extraction, growth analysis, and yield estimation, offering reliable satellite data to support the region's agricultural industry.
In forest fire prevention and control, a multi-source monitoring approach has been implemented, combining satellite-based remote sensing, unmanned aerial vehicles, and ground-based equipment to strengthen monitoring, early warning, and hazard identification systems.
